Upskilling global internal communicators

Haleon is the second largest consumer healthcare business in the world, with brands including Sensodyne toothpaste, Panadol and Advil painkillers and Centrum vitamins.

With over 20,000 employees around the world coming together from GSK to Haleon to create a new business – the communications team are building a new operating model and wanted HarknessKennett to help develop a consistent framework to employee engagement.

We developed a custom-made learning programme, based on feedback from communicators across the group and aligned to best practice capabilities for the IC profession.

We ran 5 sessions on core aspects of employee engagement and internal communication online for Haleon comms professionals from around the world.

The training provided participants with the latest thinking in internal communications, tools and templates to use in their day-to-day work, and the knowledge to become more strategic and effective.

As an added bonus, participants had the opportunity to learn from, and build stronger relationships with peers and create a common language and definition of what good look like.

“Everyone in the team was so positive about the course and loved the energy in the virtual room, each session flew by! We’re going to use our team calls to check in and keep ourselves honest about applying what we learnt.”

Gemma Wardell, Internal Engagement Director, HR & Global Functions
